Terms of Service

By accessing or using BuddyTickets, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or making a purchase on BuddyTickets ("the Platform"), operated by BuddyTickets (Matara, Sri Lanka), you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on BuddyTickets. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at my.buddytickets@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users or event organisers.

4. Ticket Purchases

When you purchase a ticket through BuddyTickets, you are entering into a transaction with the event organiser. BuddyTickets acts as a platform facilitating the sale and is not the seller of the event tickets.

  • All prices are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless stated otherwise.
  • Tickets are issued digitally and delivered to your registered email address.
  • You must present a valid digital ticket (QR code) at the event entrance.
  • Reselling tickets at a price above face value is strictly prohibited.

5. Event Cancellations and Changes

BuddyTickets is not responsible for event cancellations, postponements, or changes made by the event organiser. In such cases, refund eligibility is determined by the organiser's policy and our Refund Policy. We will communicate any known changes to ticket holders via email.

6. Prohibited Conduct

When using BuddyTickets you agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to purchase tickets in bulk (scalping)
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform
  • Post false, misleading, or harmful content
  • Violate any applicable Sri Lankan or international laws

7. Intellectual Property

All content on BuddyTickets — including logos, text, graphics, and software — is the property of BuddyTickets or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuddyTickets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant ticket.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Platform. Continued use of BuddyTickets after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
